Human Resources Manager - Full Time

Shift Hours/Days:: Full Time - M-F
Degree Required/Education: B.A.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5

Required Education and Experience: Associates Degree required. Bachelors (4 year) Degree required. Degree should be in a related filed such as business, psychology, or organizational development, for example. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role in Human Resources.

Preferred Education and Experience: SPHR or PHR is desirable. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Strong computer skills with knowledge of HRIS systems. Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws. Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professional image.

Summary/Objective: Overseas the HR functions of Employment (including Recruiting and Onboarding), Employee Relations, Personnel Policy development and application, and Compensation. Advises both Managers and Employees on all issues as needed. Overseas and is actively involved in all employee functions.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees entire employment function from start to finish, to include recruitment and advertising, interviewing, reference and background checking, offers, and initial paperwork/onboarding process. Works to continuously improve this process to make it effective and efficient.
  • Handles employee relations issues as they arise, to include meeting with employees who have issues, giving guidance to managers on handling personnel issues, and acting as a mediator between employees and their supervisors as needed. Conducts investigations when allegations of mistreatment of discrimination are made, or refers the Coordinator in all matters involving FMLA and ADAAA.
  • Ensures all documents are maintained as required and needed for HR, for legal defense and compliance, and to meet statutory guidelines. Is continually working towards the goal of paper elimination to the maximum degree possible.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the Clinic’s Compensation Program to ensure it’s integrity. Participates in surveys as appropriate so we can do market analysis. Evaluates requests for salary reviews and makes appropriate recommendations, including cost analysis.
  • Manages various projects for the HR function as assigned by the Chief HR Officer. These will change from year to year.
  • Assists in the overall management of the department operations, including budget development and management, invoice review and reconciliation, and supervision of staff. Take immediate action to correct problems in any of these areas.
  • Organizes various employee events throughout the year, including the marketing and promotion of these events. Uses staff as appropriate for this function
