Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Active Florida LPN license. Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 3 months. Current ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months. Current PALS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months. Must be IV Certified.
Preferred Education and Experience: Two or more years experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting.
Summary/Objective: The LPN will provide professional nursing care to the patients of the clinic and will support the Providers in providing high quality, cost effective healthcare, while maintaining the best interest of our patients. Employee is expected to comply with all Federal and State regulations and established clinic policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage or face to face triage
Administers medications, Injections and IV infusions. Documents as ordered by the provider
Identifies and provides for patient and family educational needs
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate
Adheres to nursing policies and procedures when documenting information in patients medical record
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the Urgent Care
Must possess critical thinking skills
Must be able to remain focused and attentive to details when working with the patients healthcare record
Must be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills
Must be discreet in all interactions involving the patients protected health information
